Wondering the streets of the historic center in Cuzco, Peru. Meli and Me found this attractive place from the outside and as we enter it the atmosphere breathes life. Bodega 138.

Seating is scarce and everyone is divulging in food and conversation. Our host greets us and gestures to any available spot. Meli and I were lucky to find a small corner cozy and sheltered from the cold night of Cuzco, we are cushioned by ancient carved stones of Incans.
The resturuant is filled with aromas and chatter. We recieve our menu shortly and get a pizza to share with half of my choice Armandisimo and half of Melissa choice Continental . We order a pitcher of lemonade as it was the same cost as one beer. And wait for our order. We laughter and talk about our previous month traveling with family and how it was everything and nothing we expected from a month.

Before the conversation really started it ended as we where brought a complementary dish, a plate of garlic bread accompanied by a creamy garlic sauce, kalamata black olives and a spicy tomato salsa, without hesitation we begin to try them and to our amazement these where like little slices of perfectly crunchy yet moist garlic toast bites. The sauces where a real treat as well mixing and matching every bite differently with different proportions. We have yet to finish and you can imagine the time it takes for two to finish a small platter of bread, our pitcher of juice and pizza show up all in a matter of 15 minutes. We have some juice to cleanse our pallets before indulging in pizza, and wow another very well made drink not to tart not to sweet but a fantastic balance between the two.
We begin to eat starting with the Armandisimo, it had tomatoes, basil, salami and smoked chorizo . It was great crunchy thin cooked in a wood fireplace, as for the other we choose was a favorite, it was ham, mushrooms and onions.

All in all our service was polite, speedy and diligent without being harassing. Our bill was 69 Soles or $28 CAD. Overall I wish the pizza had more sauce, but I would 10/10 recommend people try it when in Cuzco.
