Cartagena, Colombia. El Baluarte San Francisco Javier Restaurant. Have you even been to Cartagena if you haven’t eaten at the wall?
This restaurant has so much to offer, first and foremost the atmosphere, you are surrounded by people moving, the energy of the wall, the history sitting in a place embodying so much of the past, the view, to the beautiful lit hotel and the view of the wall surrounded by old archaic texture that tells tales the longer you spend with it.

The bar and kitchen are open to view for everyone, sticking to the theme of great views and open spaces. Not sure if they offer this every night but they got a live band playing while you dine in and if you are adventurous and brave enough you can dance and help your food digest by dancing on the floor.
We where accompanied by my dad, his girlfriend and my brother.
I got a turmeric rice with squid shrimp and muscles, my dish was rich without being overpowering. It was good and enough for me.

Melissa and my Dad got the spaghetti with muscles and prawns, and wow! Oh boy it was so delicious they didn’t have a bite without seafood and even Meli had some mussels left after she had all the pasta! The spaghetti was some of the best I have ever had in my life.

Also Crystal and Liam got the Sea Bass accompanied by potatoes. Beautiful fish, prepared perfectly.

The dishes took some time around 40 to 45 minutes to be served, but considering the occupancy of the restaurant it was acceptable.
The price points where good considering the location, the cuisine offered and the service received. I would recommend this to anyone in Cartagena at least one meal or even a drink at the wall. and looking for a great experience in every aspect without sacrificing your hard earned cash for a truly incredible experience. This is a wonderful evening to enjoy in Cartagena, like we said have you even been to Cartagena if you didn’t eat on the sea wall?
